The facade withdrawal from the main street creates the square for fairs and outdoor exhibitions as well as recreation space overlooking the river. The atrium and square form a multinational area network.
The avenue crossing is a symbol of the Plant’s brick chimney, which is visually kicked down on its axis. The architectural part of the project focuses on the Former Thermal Plant’ s transformation. The project preserves the Plant’s buildings by incorporating them into the new integral volume, that is situated around the atrium. This solution ensures the integrity of the building.

The existing buildings are re-purposed to the exhibition halls and administration, while the new volumes accommodate the conference hall, restaurant, cafe, gift shop, cloak room, toilet blocks, workshops, as well as the exhibition storage and restoration center and parking.
