“concentrate on the object as a whole.
If something looks off, edit.

BEDROOM TALES. HUSH HUSH.

BEDROOM | JUNGLE

Life’s a beach.
Treat yourself every day and get yourself a decent vacation.
OR.
Bring the taste of it into your everyday life.
Some palm trees here and there, peacock throne and gorgeous classy lamps to tie it up. Cold light green tones look fab with dark deep tones.
Don’t be afraid to add some metals and pops of color.
It’s your jungle.
Keep it wild, just like you are. Continue reading “BEDROOM TALES. HUSH HUSH.”

TOY HOUSING

TOY HOUSING?
BUT WHAT ABOUT THY MAMMA?

I’ve been playing with this idea of kids toy housing/reading corner unit all weekend.
Honestly, have to admit, I’ve enjoyed it sooo much.
Putting myself into those little shoes took me back. Even so, I created a grown up unit version  too. Guilty. Filled with books instead of toys. And most likely booze. Guilty again.
A nice reading/wine tasting corner for thy Mamma too.
Treat yourself, yeah?
Bottoms up and cover to cover, you little trouble makers!

All pink everything, honey.

Eventually life gets to the point where you want all pink everything.
Well. Obviously.

The most important thing is:
Colors do not need to be exactly the same or even alike.
And the secret to getting color scheme right every single time is:
distance yourself and look at the big picture.
If it looks fab – you’ve nailed it.
If not – just edit.
Mix and match different textures, patterns, raw materials and your favorite colors together.

Just be absolutely sure they

That’s it.

Easy!

All pink with raw concrete. Sooo interiortastic.

Lighting. Part I. The very worst.

I am obsessed with lighting. It plays a huge part making the interior work.
The right scenario must be on your terms. First, let’s talk about the very worst of lighting.
Presenting with my very-worst-schemes.

TOP WORST:

NUMBER ONE.
Central lighting.

As you see it is a basic central lighting top view. Even timeless Foscarini’s Greggs wouldn’t save you from disaster. If you haven’t heard of them click here.
Just sayin’ guys. It’s classic.
